This project was established for helping in - first of all - legal and psychological matters to gays and lesbians who found themselves in a difficult situation. The site is unique because it concentrates on watching for gay and lesbian rights solely within Russia, at first, and - secondly - it is completely translated in English what makes unknown information available to the international community. Everybody of us living in Russia has expirienced by his own what it means to be different, to be minority with having no opportunity to stand for your rights. It's wide known that the Russian state doesn't try to fight discrimination and persecution towards gays and lesbians. The situation is different from the one in the countries of Europe and North America where gays are allowed to form political and public organizations while the discrimination based on sexual orientation is prohibited by law. All that didn't appear by itself one day; it was a result of a long and persistent struggle of Western European and North American gays for their rights and of being confessed as equal to any other citizen independently on his or her sexuality. It's pretty hard in Russia to seek after realization of one's rights when the gay community in the country is quite inactive. This project is an attempt to get over the traditional political and legal passivity of the  Russian  gay  community. We   will

regularly publish here information on violations of LGBT rights. We invite all interested organizations to cooperate and - first of all - we need your participation. So if you are beeing persecuted because of your sexual orientation, if you feel discrimination and need qualified legal assistance, then email us - and we'll try to work it out together. Consultations are carrying out by the highely educated lawyer and that's the proof of their quality. The assistance will cost you nothing. Unfortunately there are no psychologist in our collective for now and this kind of service is unavailable, but we hope for further development in future. Let's defend our rights together and break through the shamed silence on the problems of gays and lesbians in our country.
